A Peek at Where Slatebox Is Headed

Hey friends—quick update from the Slatebox garage. 🎉

We’ve just dropped a brand-new slate that sketches out the next leg of our journey: turning Slatebox’s pan-and-zoom magic into a full-blown learning playground. Give it a whirl and you’ll see what we mean—huge headline frames that pull you in, tiny text clusters you can dive into, and those satisfying aerial pans that remind you: “slides are flat, stories should move.”

Why the pivot?
We kept hearing the same thing: “I love the visuals, but can I turn this into a course?” So we’re building exactly that. Imagine dragging a few slates into a folder and—boom—you’ve got a mini-curriculum. Add a quiz block, let our AI grade it on the fly, and watch badges pop up when folks hit mastery. It’s still Slatebox under the hood—clean visuals, deep zooms—but now the slate itself doubles as the lesson.

Stuff you’ll spot soon inside future LMS-powered slates

  • Your brand, front and center. The example shows how slates can wear your colors and live on your domain—no “powered by” watermark shouting for attention.
  • Instant feedback loops. Emoji taps, quick polls, “got it / need help” buttons—little nudges that keep the learner in the driver’s seat.
  • Auto-assessment & analytics. Heat-map blips and mastery meters peek out so you can see where people soar or stumble.
  • Level-up paths. Finish one slate, unlock the next, collect a shiny certificate. Rinse, repeat, brag on LinkedIn.

Where we’re headed next

Over the coming months we’ll tighten up the scoring engine, surface richer analytics, and make it dead simple to chain slates into full courses—whether you’re chasing continuing-ed credits, SOC 2 readiness, or fourth-grade fractions. If you’ve got feedback (or just want early beta access), we'd love to hear from you! We’re building this in the open and would love your two cents.

Thanks for following along—and have fun zooming around the new slate! 🎈
