How To Build An Expressive Slate, Part 1

Baking ideas into slates is an easy thing to do, but limiting the words and conveying the ideas visually is central to the process.

It starts with the right design. Themes make it super simple and fast to create beautiful slates without tinkering with individual node design. The above demonstrates the 'Blue Marker' theme, which is easily applied. Use the slate options icon at the top of the canvas, then under Themes, simply select 'Blue Marker'

Selecting a theme early in the process will help orient you with the font and styles associated. You can change anytime, just know that you may need to tweak the node sizes because different themes apply different font sizes, but the underlying node size is left untouched.
