Slates can be turned into infographics that tell a story very quickly with minimal explanation.

Going beyond basic shapes (rectangles, ellipses, etc) and using any of the 3+ million custom vectors available can quickly convey ideas that simpler shapes do not.

Notice the fish, bubbles? All of these are easily found using basic searches in the 'Shape' tab of the node properties.

Say what you can with custom images and shapes, then use words for leftover ideas. This will engage your audience with a glance and help keep them interested.
